¡Un drama y biopic digno de ver!
Personalmente, no conocía la historia de Margaret Thatcher. Ahora la conozco un poco más y me parece que fue una mujer luchadora, preocupada por su pueblo, trabajadora y una mujer adelantada a su tiempo. Trabajó duro entre todo hombres, y consiguió hacerse su lugar. Estuvo durante 11 años y medio como Primera Ministra del Reino Unido, la legislatura más larga en todo el siglo XX. Sobran las palabras. Hizo cosas bien e hizo cosas mal; pero, está claro que marcó un antes y un después en la historia de ese país.
Merece la pena gastarse los 7 euros del cine en día festivo. Aunque si podéis ahorraos un dinerillo viéndola entre semana y/o el día del espectador mucho mejor. Es más, os recomiendo verla en su versión original (en el caso de la gente de Donosti en el Cine Trueba).
SINOPSIS
Margaret Thatcher, ex primera ministra, ahora en sus 80, se encuentra desayunando en su casa de Chester Square en Londres. A pesar de que su marido, Denis, falleció hace un par de años, la decisión de deshacerse finalmente de su ropa, provoca en ella recuerdos convulsos. Mientras Thatcher se prepara para su rutina diaria, la imagen de su marido – leal, cariñoso y travieso – es tan real que parece estar vivo.
El personal de Margaret habla con Carol Thatcher para expresar su preocupación sobre la creciente confusión que sufre su madre entre el pasado y el presente. Esta preocupación aumenta durante una cena en la que Margaret cautiva a sus invitados para poco después distraerse ante las memorias de la noche en la que conoció a Denis, hace 60 años.

A biopic and drama that worths watching it!
Personally, I didn’t know the story of Margaret Thatcher. Now, I know a little more and I think she was a fighter, concerned by her people, hardworking and a woman ahead of her time. She worked among all men and she managed to secure her place. She spent 11 years and a half as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, the longest term in the twentieth century. She did things right and other hings wrong, but it is clear that she marked a before and after in the history of that country.
It’s worth the 7 euros spent on that movie. Although you can pay less money going to the cinema during weekdays and/or the day of the viewer. Furthermore, we recommend you watching it in the original version (in the case of the people of San Sebastian in Cine Trueba).
SYNOPSIS
Margaret Thatcher, former prime minister, now in her 80, is having breakfast at her home in Chester Square in London. Although her husband, Denis, died a few years ago, the decision to finally get rid of his clothes, it causes convulsive memories. As Thatcher prepares for her daily routine, the image of her husband – loyal, affectionate and playful – is so real that it seems to be alive.
The staff speaks with Carol Margaret Thatcher to express concern about the growing confusion that her mother suffers between past and present. This concern increases during a dinner at which Margaret captivates her guests, and soon she gets distracted with memories of the night when she met Denis 60 years ago.
