Pura poesía.
La continua búsqueda de la belleza de un escultor en sus últimos años de vida.
La actuación tanto del artista (Jean Rochefort) como de la modelo (Aida Folch) es increíble. La dulzura, la ternura… de las miradas. Pocas palabras son necesarias.
No hay música, no hay banda sonora. Tampoco es necesaria. La música la crea uno mismo con el movimiento de las imágenes, del cuerpo de la modelo, de las manos del artista.
El blanco y negro acertadísimo. Lo importante son las sombras, la luz, la obra plástica del escultor. El color no lo es todo. La forma lo es todo.
Conmovedora. La mejor película de Trueba. Una película que, sin ninguna duda, terminará en mi balda. Si apreciáis el arte, debéis verla.

The performance of both, the artist (Jean Rochefort) and the model (Aida Folch) is amazing. The sweetness, tenderness… of the gazes. Few words are necessary.
No music, no soundtrack. It isn’t necessary. Each one creates the music with the moving images, the body of the model, the artist’s hands.
The black and white is a success. The shadows, the light, the plastic work of the sculptor are the important things. The color isn’t everything. The shape is everything.
Moving. Touching. Beautiful. The best film by Trueba. A film that, no doubt, will end up on my shelf. If you appreciate the art, you must see it.
